"Asklepieion designates, in Ancient Greece, the curative temples dedicated to Asclepius (Aesculapius, in the Latin name), god of Medicine, son of Apollo and Coronis. Sick pilgrims flocked to these oracles, built in places specially chosen for their environmental quality, where they were treated through natural procedures and rest, in an architectural environment that was also conducive to physical and psychological regeneration. Although they practiced a medicine that was still rudimentary in light of current knowledge, the first priest-doctors ( among them, Hippocrates, considered the 'father' of rational medicine) already sought to understand the relationship between human beings and the natural world, through the promotion of balance and sustainability of the body in nature [...] Thus, inspired by idea of Greek temples of medicine, this work explores the relationships between meaning and signifier, myth and reality, historical memory and parents they act natural, through images of the sky, where a paragliding dance takes place, a kind of contemporary consecration of the man-nature relationship. Apparently strange in this context, a word, asklepieion, affixed to the image remains throughout the projection, in a loop. The connotation of this word with the gods and medicine, opens, in this indeterminate place in space (no geographic coordinates are identified in these images of the sky), the doors to the imagination, allowing for reflection on the idea, the ultimate meaning, of the art of healing. Or how to sustain a body whose balance, even in the most perfect conditions, is always precarious? How to adapt a finite body to the infinite of nature and space? How to improve nature without transfiguring man? For millennia this has been the dream of man and medicine."
